Organizing needles part 2/ Cómo organizar palillos parte 2

Image
Today is my Ravelry anniversary, 11 years. So, it made sense to celebrate it by making one last very necessary case for my circular knitting needles. I decided to continue tweaking the pattern in yesterday's video; I needed it to be much bigger and prevent needles from sliding out. My new version has pockets on the top and bottom and folds in half to prevent anything from falling out. I chose elastic remnants to make ties but rope and buttons or bias tape would have worked too. I used some Ankara fabric from Ghana gifted to me by a friend. I love the bold patterns and colors.

Image
For over a decade I had all my needles and crochet hooks in a bag. I finally, finally (!) sewed roll-up cases for them. I cannot believe it took this long. I adapted the project in the following video . It's super easy to follow, and concise. For the double end needles case I modified the original pattern by making a flap to cover the needles and prevent them from sliding out of the top (which happens with one metal...

Arabella Sweater review

Image
Needles used: US 1.5 (2,5mm) Yarn: Indiecita Baby Alpaca Quantity: 8 skeins I began this sweater on June 9th to take a break from another project that is now finished but frogged. I really wanted to use my Indiecita stash given to me by one of my aunts who knits and raves about it but was unsure if the amount of yarn I had would be enough. I ended up using 8/10 skeins with US 1.5 needles. I chose smaller needles than recommended for this type of yarn and for gauge because I wanted to give the alpaca as much hold as possible.  The drape of Indiecita Baby Alpaca is gorgeous Because I had to adjust CO numbers I had to start the project a few times. Third one was a charm with 167 stitches. The tiny cross-stitch cable ribbing at the beginning is a little tiresome to knit (hard on the hands) but looks nice.  A second modification was getting rid of the Quacker stripes and replacing it with a simple stockinette stitch. I didn't think it was worth the effort, cons...

Blusa de Verano Oli

Image
English here .
